Your abdomen can hold more tension than you realize. Stress, sluggish digestion, bloating, constipation and everyday lifestyle factors can all contribute to that heavy, tight or uncomfortable feeling in the belly.
This focused 30-minute abdominal treatment combines gentle manual lymphatic drainage with therapeutic abdominal cupping to encourage movement, circulation and relaxation throughout the abdomen.
Your breath plays an important role in lymphatic movement. Gentle diaphragmatic breathing creates pressure changes that help move lymph through the body. During your session, we'll incorporate slow, intentional breathing alongside lymphatic massage and cupping.

Every session begins with gentle abdominal lymphatic drainage. Light, rhythmic techniques are used to encourage lymphatic flow and prepare the tissues before cupping begins.
Once the abdomen has been prepared, gentle cupping techniques are incorporated. The cups create controlled suction that allows me to work with the abdominal tissues in a different way than massage alone.
This isn't aggressive or painful cupping. The amount of suction and techniques used are adjusted throughout the treatment based on your body and comfort level.

Abdominal cupping isn't appropriate for every client or every situation. Before your first treatment, you'll complete a brief health screening to help identify any contraindications or necessary modifications.
Please let me know before your appointment if you are pregnant or could potentially be pregnant, have recently had abdominal surgery, have an abdominal hernia, unexplained abdominal pain, a history of blood clots, take blood-thinning medication, have an active infection or have another medical condition that may affect treatment.
